Since 2012 he participates every year at the International Congress organized in Italy by dr. C. Orione and, after the Meeting, stops in Italy a few days for the Open Day where, with C. Orione, visit and treats patients with floaters.

Feike Gerbrandy (Amsterdam, Netherlands), has specialized in the laser treatment of vitreous floaters. He started Floaterlaser Amsterdam Eye Clinic, a clinic dedicated to this treatment. In 2011 he joined forces with Opsis Eye Hospital in Amstelveen, a suburb of Amsterdam.

Many international patients have found their way to dr Gerbrandy in Amstelveen.

Dr Geller and dr Gerbrandy founded the Vitreous Floaters Study Group.

The members of this group are all vitreous floaters specialists. The purpose of the VFSG is to cooperate in research and establish guidelines for treatment.

In 2012 it was transformed into the International Society of Vitreous Laser Surgery (ISVLS), of which he is a Board Member with Scott Geller, James Johnson and Carlo Orione, with the aim to work closely and do research.

In 2011 he has traveled to Florida by Scott Geller to perfect the technique.

Since 2012 he organizes every year an Open Day in Italy to visit and treat patients suffering from floaters with Scott Geller.

From 2013 it is provided, first in Italy, the new Ellex Yag laser for vitreolysis.

In March 2013 it was interviewed on Viscochirurgia, a medical journal distributed to all italian ophthalmologists, to inform and explain the technique to the colleagues.

In October, 2013, in Amsterdam, at the European Congress ESCRS, he was invited as the only Italian expert, at the International Forum to outline the guidelines for laservitreolysis.
